ZhongyunTech has invested over $19 million in manufacturing capabilities, introducing 32 sets of advanced machining equipment to further strengthen its in-house production of core components for corrugated pipe machinery.
Sourced from Germany, Japan, and Italy, the equipment includes industry-leading brands such as GROB, Shibaura, Mazak, and TRUMPF. It covers key manufacturing processes, including 5-axis machining, laser cutting, CNC machining, and large-scale boring and milling.
These investments translate advanced manufacturing capabilities into more stable machine performance, more reliable product quality and delivery, and greater flexibility in meeting customers' diverse requirements.
Higher Machining Precision for More Stable, Reliable Core Components.
GROB 5-axis machining center: Primarily used to machine critical components such as die heads. Taking die sleeve machining as an example, the previous process required two separate machines, four setups, and an additional polishing step. With the GROB 5-axis machining center, the process requires just two setups, eliminating the need for additional polishing. The required surface roughness is achieved directly through machining. This reduces dimension deviation caused by repeated setups and improves machining quality and precision.
Mazak machining center: Used to machine mould blocks, die heads, and corrugator parts. With a machining precision of 0.002mm and support for 24-hour unattended operation, the system helps maintain consistent component quality and precision, supporting stable machine operation and consistent pipe quality.
In-House Machining for Full Quality and Delivery Control.
From raw material inspection and laser cutting to final finishing, ZhongyunTech manufactures its core components in-house, maintaining control over key manufacturing processes.
Equipped with a Hexagon coordinate measuring machine (CMM), shown above, ZhongyunTech can measure components to an accuracy of 0.0018 mm. This in-house manufacturing capability helps ensure consistent component quality and greater control over delivery timelines.
Custom Machining Capabilities Tailored to Client Needs
Backed by strong engineering, tooling design, and manufacturing capabilities, ZhongyunTech can customize core parts to fit clients' existing machines seamlessly.
For example, a European client faced the risk of production disruption due to worn mould blocks on an older corrugator. ZhongyunTech manufactured custom replacement mould blocks to fit the customer’s machine. Using high-precision machining and anodizing, the mould block surfaces achieved a hardness of HV 450, significantly improving wear resistance and service life, allowing the client to resume production rapidly.
To date, ZhongyunTech has delivered more than 800 corrugated pipe lines to customers in over 60 countries. Looking ahead, ZhongyunTech will continue to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and provide pipe producers around the world with reliable, efficient corrugated pipe machinery.
